Grossing over US$300 million in worldwide box office receipts, the Indian movie hit of ‘Dangal’ is based on the real-life legend of India’s first female wrestling champion.
While the limelight tends to fall on the elder daughter Geeta (played by Fatima Sana Shaikh), Babita, the younger daughter (played by Danya Malhotra) is just as popular. In fact, many netizens said she looked even prettier than her elder sister.
Babita has a smaller role compared with Geeta in the movie, but the two of them were mutually supportive. Viewers were particularly impressed with the scene in which Babita persuaded Geeta to make up with her father.
Prior to the filming, the two actresses actually underwent an 8-month wrestling training program to build up their muscles. But once they shed their wrestling gear and put on everyday clothing, they present an entirely different look. Babita, in particular, has kept her hair short and sports a model look.
