What's the most precious gift a friend could give you? For a married woman named Bec Arena, it's a baby!
New Zealand woman Bec Arena sufferer from a genetic disorder called Cystic fibrosis and was getting increasingly sick. Her best friend from childhood Jes Brockie who volunteered to be a surrogate when she struggled to get pregnant.
Brockie has her own family and two beautiful children and her husband was supportive to her choice. She wrote on social media: 'Four months until my belly-buddy joins this world! So very privileged to be carrying this little guy!'
However, Arena was not able to meet her baby because she died four months before Jes gave birth to little Rixton James Arena on January 20.
The sweet little baby weighing 7lb and 2oz, slept quietly in Dad's arm and didn't know what had happened. Arena's husband Gareth became single Dad since Rixton was born. He wrote on Facebook: "The things I would do just to be able to see Rixton in Bec's arms."
On Arena's 31st birthday when she is gone, he paid tribute: "There is not a minute of the day in which I am not thinking about you or wishing you were still here with us.'
