A Boeing 737-800 passenger plane PX073 of Air Niugini, taking off from Tokyo Narita Airport and was destined for Port Mosby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, fell into the lake near Chuk International Airport at 9:30 at local time on the 28th.

All 47 passengers and crew survived a plane's crash landing in a Pacific lagoon, wading through waist-deep water to the emergency exits and escaping on local boats that came to the rescue.
