As an important window for the rest of the world to understand China, the 2024 Summer Davos once again brings the vitality and resilience of Chinese economy into the spotlight.
The Summer Davos concluded in northeast China's Dalian City on Thursday after drawing over 1,700 participants from nearly 80 countries and regions, with a record number of over 200 innovative enterprises in attendance during the three-day event.
Featuring the theme "Next Frontiers for Growth," this year's forum saw in-depth discussions around six major fields, including forging a new global economy, emerging industrial frontiers, climate change, and the energy transition.
Participants of the forum focused on China's economic performance and achievements in various areas.
"So on all counts, I would say that China has actually gone well ahead of the global average in terms of the sustainability model. Particularly when you are looking at issues around renewable energy, green growth, that area," said Siddharth Chatterjee, UN Resident Coordinator in China.
Anu Rathninde, President of Johnson Controls Asia-Pacific, hopes to deepen cooperation with China in the future.
"Today Johnson Controls operate three R&D centers and 10 manufacturing plants. We always bring in the new products and technologies and we innovate and grow with the Chinese economy," said Rathninde.
Ahmad AI Hanandeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship of Jordan, said that the two countries will strengthen exchanges in the digital field.
"We do have certain MOUs and agreements with Chinese companies and the Chinese government to train and upskill our talents, and China is a great partner when it comes to digital economy," said Hanandeh.
