Many organizations in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) held flag-raising ceremonies on Monday to mark the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.
Those holding the ceremonies included the Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, the Commissioner's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in the HKSAR and the Hong Kong Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).
In addition, residents in the region also held various celebrations on the day, including a flash mob singing patriotic songs at Victoria Harbour and a fishing boat cruise.
