China's delegation for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games has arrived at the Olympic Village, a 52-hectare site located by the Seine River, in batches in the French capital of Paris.

The 2024 Paris Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11. The Paralympic Games will then run from August 28 until September 8. Nestled in the north of Paris, the Olympic Village was officially opened on July 18. It will serve as home for athletes during the Games, featuring a 3,200-seat dining hall, a 24-hour gym, a 3,500-square-meter polyclinic, and a small supermarket.

The building designated for the Chinese delegation is decorated with the national flags of China, traditional Chinese knots, banners reading "Go China!" and an endearing image of a giant panda waving its paw, adding a distinctive Chinese touch that captures the attention of all. Nearly 80 of the 716-member Chinese delegation, including athletes in table tennis, diving, archery and gymnastics, have already resided in the village.

"We will definitely give it our all. Our team is united and hardworking. I think we will be able to show what we have learned from training this time," said Zou Jingyuan, a member of Chinese men's gymnastics team.

The Chinese swimming, boxing, tennis, and badminton teams have already arrived in Paris and are receiving adaptability trainings in Deauville, the closest seaside resort to Paris, and will dwell in the village in batches.

China sends 405 athletes, including 42 Olympic champions, to compete in 236 events across 30 sports at the Paris Olympics.

China finished second behind the United States in the medals table at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with 38 golds, 32 silvers and 19 bronzes.
