      China Media Group's (CMG) broadcast center in Paris is gearing up for coverage of the 2024 Olympic Games set to open in two days.

      The 1,500-square-meter CMG center at the International Broadcast Center is capable of signal distribution, media cloud, program packaging, signal collection, basic network, 5G transmission and administrative office, meeting the needs of program production and signal transmission.

      During the Olympic Games, users can enjoy the CMG live coverage of the competitions on television, radio and mobile devices via various CMG applications. Over 3,800 hours of live program will cover more than 7,000 games. A total of 1,500 hours of professional commentary will also be presented.

      The Paris Olympics will officially open on Friday and last till August 11.

      Chinese rescue team arrives in Myanmar following strong earthquake

      A 37-member rescue and medical team from southwest China's Yunnan Province arrived in Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar on Saturday morning to support the country's rescue and relief efforts following a massive earthquake that rocked the Southeast Asian country on Friday.

      The rescuers carried with them 112 sets of emergency rescue equipment, including life detectors, earthquake warning systems, portable satellite antennas, and drones.

      The team departed from Kunming, capital city of southwest China's Yunnan Province earlier on Saturday.

      It is the first international rescue team to arrive in Myanmar.

      At least 144 people have been killed and 732 others injured in the quake, according to the latest official data.
