The Yuntai Mountain in central China's Henan Province fascinated tourists with its spectacular sea of clouds on Sunday.
A sea of clouds is an overcast layer of stratocumulus clouds, as viewed from above, with a relatively uniform top which shows undulations of very different lengths resembling waves on the sea.
Visitors were flocking to this rare, extraordinary sight. Climbing Zhuyu Peak, feeling the rolling winds, and looking out over the unique sight of the looming Taihang Mountains in the distance would become precious and unforgettable memories for them.
In order to enjoy the waterfall and sea of clouds, as well as avoiding summer heat, the enthusiastic tourists have turned this historic mountain range to a popular summer resort.
The Yuntai Mountain is located in Xiuwu County of Henan Province, and is named after the high and steep mountains, which are surrounded by clouds all year round. Covering an area of 190 square kilometers, the Yuntai Mountain was listed in the first batch of World Geoparks by UNESCO for its unique "Northern Karst Geomorphology".
