Super Typhoon Yagi had killed four people and injured 95 others in south China's Hainan Province as of 15:00 Saturday, local authorities said at a press conference on Saturday evening.

More than 526,000 people across Hainan have been affected by the typhoon, according to the provincial emergency management department.

"According to the statistics available now, as of 15:00 Saturday, Typhoon Yagi had killed four people and injured 95 others across Hainan Province. The destruction and impact caused by Typhoon Yagi is beyond imagination, resulting in huge losses to people's lives and property," said Pan Shaoli, head of the Hainan Provincial Emergency Management Department.

Yagi, the 11th typhoon of the year, made landfall twice on Friday, first striking Hainan Province and later Guangdong Province.

Most areas in Hainan have been affected to varying degrees, resulting in losses to infrastructure, industries and agriculture, and impacting the production and lives of residents, according to the press conference.

So far, losses in highway facilities, water transportation, road transportation, civil aviation and ongoing transport projects across Hainan have climbed to a total of 800 million yuan (about 112 million U.S. dollars).

In order to rapidly restore the order after the disaster, by 18:00 Saturday, a total of 61,000 sanitation workers and 6,300 vehicles had been mobilized for clean-up across Hainan, with a total of 14,000 tonnes of garbage brought by the typhoon cleared and some 142,000 fallen trees across the province removed.

In Guangdong Province, Yagi had forced the relocation of 729,954 people by noon on Saturday, according to the provincial flood, drought and typhoon control authorities.

Yagi also wreaked havoc in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, forcing the evacuation of about 60,000 residents. As of 11:00 on Saturday, over 107,000 households had been left without power.

On Saturday morning, China's National Meteorological Center renewed its red alert, its highest alert level, for Yagi.

The Chinese mainland's box office revenue for the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday season, including presale earnings, exceeded 200 million yuan (around 28 million U.S. dollars) as of 13:46 Monday, according to data from Internet platforms.

The top three films on the Mid-Autumn Festival box office chart on the Chinese mainland were drama film "Stand By Me", comedy "A Frozen Rage" and drama film "Like A Rolling Stone".

A total of 14 movies are being screened on the Chinese mainland during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, which started on Sunday.

"Comedies are my favorites. I just like the feeling of spreading happiness among people," said a moviegoer in Beijing.

"I watched the 3D version of 'The Wandering Earth II'. Its visual effect is better and the overall effect is stronger. It has a complete story line," said another moviegoer.
