North China's Tianjin Municipality's investment in public spaces and global trade has greatly enhanced the quality of life for its residents, providing a mix of recreational facilities and a wide range of international products.

In the bustling heart of Tianjin, small public spaces like Fuxing Park offer a vibrant outlet for residents to engage in a unique mix of recreation and tradition. Every Saturday, people gather in this urban oasis to practice wrestling, sharing their love for the sport amid cheers and encouragement from the crowd.

"This really gets the audience involved. It's both a sport and entertainment," said spectator Zhang Guowei.

Tianjin has created over 100 pocket parks like Fuxing Park, transforming neighborhoods into hubs for social interaction and physical activity.

In Xigu Park, a group of seniors who had been exercising on basic bars for decades now have access to rings and climbing poles provided by the government, allowing for more advanced workouts.

"All of our equipment meets national standards, as encouraged by the government. With these accessible facilities, we can work out scientifically every day," said 70-year-old Tong Yugen.

"The government's investment in public services has created such a great environment. It makes me really happy," said resident Wang Yuecheng.

In addition to its parks, Tianjin's international trade has made high-quality global products more accessible.

From Australian steak to Norwegian salmon, Tianjin Port's connections to over 500 ports in more than 180 countries ensure that residents can access a diverse range of imported goods.

Five new shipping routes have been established this year alone, bringing fresh fruits like South American cherries and Southeast Asian durians straight to local markets.

Moreover, as an international port city, Tianjin has attracted approximately 250,000 international visitors by cruise so far this year.

Many of them take the opportunity to explore the rich cultural and culinary offerings of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The Chinese mainland's box office revenue for the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday season, including presale earnings, exceeded 200 million yuan (around 28 million U.S. dollars) as of 13:46 Monday, according to data from Internet platforms.

The top three films on the Mid-Autumn Festival box office chart on the Chinese mainland were drama film "Stand By Me", comedy "A Frozen Rage" and drama film "Like A Rolling Stone".

A total of 14 movies are being screened on the Chinese mainland during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, which started on Sunday.

"Comedies are my favorites. I just like the feeling of spreading happiness among people," said a moviegoer in Beijing.

"I watched the 3D version of 'The Wandering Earth II'. Its visual effect is better and the overall effect is stronger. It has a complete story line," said another moviegoer.
