China Media Group (CMG) on Tuesday launched a multimedia series highlighting the modernization endeavors in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a city cluster and one of the most open areas in China with economic vitality.

The Greater Bay Area is composed of nine cities in Guangdong Province -- Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing, and two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao.

Among the multimedia series is a 100-episode program titled "Comprehensively Deepening Reform and Standing at the Forefront of the Greater Bay Area", which will provide an in-depth, panoramic look at the pioneering spirit and progress of the Greater Bay Area in advancing China's modernization.

Additionally, Putonghua or Mandarin Chinese speech and performance activities for primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong were also launched, aiming to deepen Hong Kong youths' understanding of the profound history connecting the city to the motherland.

At the event, the CMG also premiered a special song titled "Blooming into the Future" to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.

The song's unique musical appeal and penetrating power showcase the thriving and integrated development of the Greater Bay Area, further inspiring Macao residents' patriotic enthusiasm and joint pursuit of prosperity with the Chinese mainland.

With the ever deepening integration of "thoughts + art + technology" in its communication endeavors, the CMG will cooperate closely with the nine cities and the two special administrative regions in the Greater Bay Area to showcase the area's special charm.

Chinese localities are rolling out various initiatives to help match job seekers with employers including organizing job fairs and providing free vocational trainings as the post-Spring Festival peak hiring season has kicked off across the country.

The period after the Spring Festival is crucial for businesses to resume operations and production halted in the holiday season, and a peak time for workers to change jobs and seek employment.

From mid-January to Feb 11, a total of 22,000 recruitment events were held nationwide, offering more than 15 million job opportunities, according to data released by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

Some localities have organized workers to visit the companies they want to join to study production process and gain firsthand-experience about their working conditions.

In Jingzhou City of central China's Hubei Province, a company that produces electronic components welcomed a group of nearly 100 job seekers.

"I can learn a lot of skills while exploring my potentials here," said Song Zikang, one of the job seekers.

Local authorities in Jingzhou visited more than 50 companies and discovered 800 job openings, before arranging for job seekers to visit these factories.

"This allows job seekers to directly experience the working conditions and corporate culture, thereby enhancing their chances of securing employment," said Wang Ting, a staff member from local human resources service agency.

Recruitment activities are also being held in other cities to meet local employers' growing demand.

Huzhou City of east China's Zhejiang Province held a job fair in a popular commercial area, featuring over 30 companies offering more than 1,000 job openings in catering, manufacturing and finance.

Local authorities also introduced a live stream service at the event to showcase job opportunities online, as well as set up a policy consultation booth to provide services such as employment and entrepreneurship policy inquiries and labor rights protection.

"We offer subsidies for home purchases and rentals, as well as for internships and training programs. We also cooperate with financial institutions to launch various low-interest financial products, aiming to find talents for enterprises and help job seekers secure employment," said Dai Zhanping, deputy head of local human resources and social security bureau.
