Intelligent equipment has enhanced agricultural production in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, with mechanized farming methods giving boost to dairy farming, livestock breeding and vegetable production. A cattle base in Ningxia's Lingwu County uses smart equipment to milk cows. The cows line up at the rotary milking parlor, which takes about 10 minutes for each rotation. Each cow is milked three times a day, totaling only 30 minutes each day.

"This is part of the ration, which includes flaked corn, corn grains, cottonseed meal, cottonseed, roughage, and silage. A cow consumes about 50 kilograms per day," said Zhou Shuai, the factory director of a dairy cattle breeding base in Lingwu City. The newborn calves are cared for by special personnel, and after two months, they will be transferred to the pens for weaned cows.

There are eight 500-meter-long and 300-meter-long barns for adult cows in the breeding base. Solar photovoltaic panels are installed on the columns between the barns, which not only save energy but also provide shade and cooling for the cows. Ningxia's climate features long and cold winters, short and hot summers, quick warming in spring, and early cooling in autumn. It has diverse terrain, including plains, mountains, hills, and sandy areas, with significant temperature differences between day and night.

The region also enjoys abundant light and heat resources, with summer daytime lasting around 15 hours. Along with the high organic matter content in the soil, all of these factors can enhance the quality of Ningxia's cold-season vegetables, making them superior to similar types of vegetables than other places.

The vegetables can be shipped from Ningxia's Yinchuan City to Dubai of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by cargo planes in half a day.

The egg industry is also booming in Ningxia. On the dining tables of ordinary people, one out of every seven eggs comes from Ningxia. In Ningxia's Yongning County, an egg-laying chicken company hire experienced nutritionists to provide health plans for the chicks.

The incubation chamber in the smart agriculture industrial park there can hatch over two million chicks at the same time. These chicks will hatch in about 21 days, and on the day they hatch, they are shipped to 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China, bringing significant wealth to local farmers.
