Senior political leaders of multiple countries have extended congratulations to the People's Republic of China on its 75th founding anniversary, commending its development achievements and global contributions.
"With a major policy of opening up and reforms, China has been able to make impressive progress on the path to modernization. China has seen the rapid economic development, the reduction of poverty, and improvement of the living conditions of its people," said Bassirou Diomaye Faye, president of Senegal.
At a reception held by the Chinese Embassy in Kenya to mark the anniversary on Sunday, guests lauded China's development milestones and its contributions to global progress.
"In the past 75 years, the government of China has made tremendous political and socioeconomic development that is unmatched in the world, which includes lifting the Chinese people from poverty to high-quality living standard," said Musalia Mudavadi, Kenya's prime cabinet secretary.
"It's very impressive, extremely impressive. I think that we are all proud, honored as a shining example of what can be done when a country is determined to be able to move itself forward. So we're very happy. We wish them all the best and we look to learn from them," said Zainab Hawa Bangura, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).
Vice President of Liberia Jeremiah Kpang Koung hailed China's developmental achievements on behalf of the Liberian government, expressing admiration for China's progress at a reception held by the Chinese Embassy in Liberia on Friday. During the reception held by the Chinese Embassy in Malawi on Thursday, the country's Minister of Defense Harry Mkandawire spoke highly of the bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed a desire to enhance cooperation in all sectors.
Ernest Mada, the acting foreign minister of the Central African Republic, said that China's successful practices of Chinese modernization have given hope and new choices to many developing countries.
Speaking at the reception held by the Chinese Embassy in the Central African Republic, Mada expressed the country's willingness to advance the Belt and Road cooperation and deepen cooperation across various sectors to elevate bilateral relations.
