The event will run until Sunday, and a four-hour flight demonstration, including performances of aerobatic teams and military jets, will be staged everyday. Among them, China's J-35A, J-20, and Russia's Su-57 stealth fighters will be on the same stage for the first time, according to organizers.

During the field adaptation training conducted on Monday, the Bayi Aerobatic Team and the Hongying Aerobatic Team under the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force showcased maneuvers such as six-plane diamond formation dive and two-plane high-speed crossing.

At the outdoor and indoor exhibition areas of this year's airshow, China's army, navy and air force equipment are displayed in an integrated manner, including the debut of the J-15D carrier-based fighter, the debut of the HQ-19 surface-to-air missile weapon system, and the new reconnaissance and strike drone.

At the same time, a number of star exhibits, including the first lunar soil samples brought back from the far side of the moon, the scaled model of China's Haoloong space cargo shuttle, as well as China's large unmanned combat vessel, JARI-USV-A, also known as "Orca," are making their debut at the air show.

China's first domestically made large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, set sail from China's Qingdao International Cruise Terminal on Sunday to South Korea and Japan with over 4,000 tourists boarded, marking their first appearance at a Chinese port outside its homeport in Shanghai.

The cruise, named after Shanghai's nickname, began its commercial operations in January 2024 with over a hundred voyages. On April 6 and 10, the ships will embark two five-day, four-night international cruises from Qingdao City in east China's Shandong Province to Jeju in South Korea and Fukuoka in Japan.

The Adora Cruises with two large ships, Magic City and Mediterranean, have served over 560,000 tourists from China and abroad. Its second domestically made cruise ship, the Adora Flora City, has completed the main hull assembly and is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026. Similarly, the cruise ship is named after the nickname of south China's Guangzhou, "Flower City," where it plans to launch its international services.
