German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived at the venue for his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Tuesday local time.
The bilateral meeting is taking place on the sidelines of the two-day G20 Leaders' Summit.
Xi arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday for the 19th G20 Summit and a state visit to Brazil.
The two-day G20 Summit opened on Monday under the theme of "Building a just world and a sustainable planet."
