People from various backgrounds gathered along the streets of Brasilia on Tuesday to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping for a state visit to Brazil.
The welcoming crowds, including overseas Chinese, students, and local residents, waved Chinese and Brazilian national flags and held banners with warm messages for the Chinese president.
Xi arrived in the South American country on Sunday for the 19th G20 Summit and a state visit.
The state visit follows Xi's attendance at the two-day summit in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, which concluded earlier on Tuesday.
