Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Brasilia on Tuesday for a state visit to Brazil.
Xi was warmly welcomed upon his arrival by the Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Presidency Rui Costa, along with other senior Brazilian officials.
An all-female local Batala band, dressed in colorful attire and brimming with enthusiasm, greeted the Chinese president with vibrant drumbeats.
Representatives of overseas Chinese, Chinese institutions and Chinese students lined the road on the way from the airport to Xi's hotel to greet him, waving the national flags of China and Brazil and banners conveying best wishes to the friendship between the two countries.
Xi came to Brasilia after attending the 19th G20 Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which lasted for two days and ended earlier on Tuesday.

The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza has risen to 43,972, with more than 104,008 injured, Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement released on Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, Israeli military operations in Gaza killed 50 and wounded 110 people, the statement said.
At least eight Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike on a residential building in Beit Lahiya in north Gaza, according to the Palestine News Agency (Wafa).
According to witnesses, the attack targeted the residential building housing a family and displaced civilians. Several people remain trapped under the rubble, the report said.
