Russia claimed on Friday that its forces had attacked targets including Ukraine's military-industrial enterprises, energy facilities, and military airfields over the past week, while Ukraine reported on the same day that its forces had repelled Russian offensives and shot down dozens of Russian drones.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in its weekly battle report that the Russian military had taken control of multiple settlements over the past week.

The report also noted that Russian air defense forces had intercepted missiles, rockets, aerial bombs, and drones launched from the Ukrainian side.

It further stated that Russian forces continued their attacks on the Ukrainian army in Kursk, destroying Ukrainian armored vehicles, artillery, and other military equipment.

According to Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, the Russian military has eliminated elite Ukrainian forces in certain battle zones, effectively disrupting Ukraine's deployment for 2025.

Furthermore, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces have commenced mine clearance operations in the Pokrovsk direction.

On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that its forces had engaged in over 100 clashes with Russian troops on multiple frontlines as of Friday, with the fiercest battles occurring in Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, and some other areas.

Ukrainian forces continued to hold their defensive lines and successfully repelled numerous Russian offensives, the report stated.

The report also mentioned that Ukrainian forces had struck an important Russian target, destroying Russian tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, drones, and some other targets.

By 17:30 on Friday, the Ukrainian Air Force had detected over 100 Russian aerial targets and shot down dozens of drones, according to the report.
