The 2024 China (Xi'an) International Low Altitude Economy Development Conference opened in Xi'an City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, showcasing advancements in low-altitude economy covering technology, equipment manufacturing, and application scenarios.
Under the theme "Green Low Altitude, Smart Future", the conference features 10 exhibition zones highlighting innovations in low-altitude vehicles, infrastructure, materials, and services, offering a comprehensive display of China's achievements in the low-altitude economy. Visitors can also enjoy an interactive flight experience in the specially established area.
"We've had many clients come to us, inquiring about drone simulator cockpits. So now, by observing the products showcased at the exhibition, we are gradually aligning ourselves in that direction, continuously refining our products to better suit the needs of the general public," said Xu Huan, an exhibitor.
In the general aviation exhibition area, a variety of domestically developed equipment and technologies captured visitors' attention. A two-seater electric aircraft emerged as a highlight of this zone. Made from carbon fiber composite, it boasts a maximum flight altitude of 1,000 meters and a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour.
Another standout feature is an unmanned management system.
"We've developed an operation management system for the low-altitude economy that is fully autonomous and controllable from hardware to software. The system can comprehensively manage and control the flight attitudes and flight conditions of the aircraft. If any risks are emerging, the system will reversely control the aircraft in real time to ensure its normal operation," said Li Hui, an exhibitor representative.
The three-day event gathered over 500 guests, including representatives from government departments, universities, and enterprises, to discuss the future of the low-altitude economy.
"Shaanxi Province, as one of the most important hubs for the aviation industry in China, boasts abundant scientific and educational resources. Xi'an is home to large aircraft manufacturing and various enterprises in the aerospace sector, providing the necessary conditions for developing the low-altitude economy. However, the expansion of relevant application scenarios in the low-altitude economy is still insufficient. The International Low Altitude Economy Development Conference serves as a platform for exchanges among research institutions, universities, enterprises in Shaanxi and counterparts across the country," said Zhang Xiaoyu, representative of the organizer of the 2024 China (Xi'an) International Low Altitude Economy Development Conference.
