The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip had risen to 44,382, the Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Saturday.
In the past 24 hours, Israeli military operations in Gaza killed 19 people and injured 72 others, bringing the total number of injuries to 105,142, according to the statement.
The Israeli forces attacked many places in the Gaza Strip from Friday night to Saturday, killing at least 32 Palestinians, according to the Gaza-based health authorities.
Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported that three employees with the US-based food charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) were killed in a strike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on Saturday.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement on Saturday that the target of the strike had participated in the October 7 attack on Israel and was currently an employee at the WCK.
The charity, which runs community kitchens in Gaza, paused its operations in Gaza after the attack.
According to reports from Palestinian media, Israeli forces launched strikes in Gaza City in northern Gaza and the Jabalia refugee camp in central Gaza on Saturday, killing dozens of people.
An airstrike in the Tal al-Zaatar area, northern Gaza killed at least 40 people, leaving a number of people still strapped under the rubble.
On Saturday morning, the Israeli forces stacked a rocket launch site in Deir Al-Balah, a humanitarian safe zone. Rockets were still fired from the area after the Israeli strike, but none of them reached the Israeli territory.
The Israeli forces have also continued to expand military operations in the occupied West Bank and arrest people there.
The IDF said in a statement on Saturday night that a soldier was killed in a fight in northern Gaza on Friday and three soldiers who were severely injured during military operations in northern and southern Gaza have been transferred to hospital. According to the IDF, a total of 807 Israeli soldiers were killed in the Gaza conflict since Oct 7, 2023.
The conflict has also taken a toll on media workers. The Gaza government media office announced on Saturday that one more journalist was killed during the Israeli strike, bringing the total number of journalists and media workers killed during the conflict to 191.
