The 2024 International Sports Consumption Season and Fujian Service Consumption and Domestic Goods Carnival were officially launched on Tuesday in Jinjiang City, east China's Fujian Province, aiming to promote diverse sports consumption and enhance local consumption and tourism in the region.

The event, jointly organized by the China Media Group (CMG) and the Fujian Provincial People's Government, introduced a range of measures to promote Fujian's service consumption. These measures include boosting basic consumption, promoting leisure and lifestyle spending, fostering new consumption trends, and improving consumption environments.

The sports consumption season also offers a great opportunity for Fujian to leverage its strong sports industry and promote consumption of sports-related and other locally made products, thereby strengthening the recognition and influence of Fujian's brands both domestically and internationally.

CMG, the main organizer of the event, showcased its innovative cultural and creative products, along with related programs, at its exhibition booth during the consumption season.

In recent years, CMG has partnered with the Ministry of Commerce and local governments to launch a series of consumption events across the country, including in Beijing, Shanghai, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These initiatives aim to help boost local consumption and promote the unique characteristics of different cities.
