An Italian-language TV show "Discover China" Season 1, co-produced by the China Media Group (CMG) and Italy's Netway media group, was officially premiered on multiple Italian TV channels on Tuesday.

It is expected to reach 60 million viewers across the European country.

From the unique perspectives of people from all sectors of Italy, the show delves into culture, economy, tourism, science, and art of China, offering viewers fresh insights. It also invites guests such as Mario Boselli, honorary president of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, and world-renowned architect Massimiliano Fuksas to tell their stories with China, guiding viewers to explore China's rich history, traditions, arts, and modernization.

The Italian production team has described the show as a bridge between East and West, aiming to present a more authentic and objective view of China to Italian audiences.

The show will also be broadcast on Netway's other media platforms, with an estimated weekly viewership of approximately three million.

Netway, headquartered in Milan, is one of Italy's largest media groups, encompassing TV channels, print, and new media platforms.

"Discover China" represents a deep collaboration between CMG and Italy's mainstream media, highlighting the growing trend of China-Italy media cooperation and furthering mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.

An Embraer 190 aircraft operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on Wednesday, according to Azerbaijan's Report News Agency.

The crash occurred near the Aktau Airport, with the plane reportedly catching fire upon impact. Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched 52 personnel and 11 units of equipment to the site, media reports said.

The aircraft had 62 passengers and five crew members on board. According to Kazakh authorities, at least 28 people have survived in the crash.

Azerbaijan Airlines confirmed the incident and assured that more information would be provided. Local authorities and emergency services are investigating the crash.

"The circumstances of the incident are being clarified and special investigation will be conducted, according to the Ministry of Transport," said China Global Television Network's reporter Aigerim Kali in Kazakhstan.

"The plane flying from Baku to Grozny requested an emergency landing in Aktau appeared at 11:20 local time. According to the press service of the Grozny airport, the reason for the change of the route was the thick fog. The plane was first redirected to Makhachkala, the capital city of Dagestan, and then to Aktau," she added.

A preliminary investigation found the plane collided with birds and was diverted to Aktau due to an emergency on board, according to a statement issued on Telegram by Russia's aviation authority, Rosaviatsia.
