Russia has confirmed that Ukraine launched an airstrike on the city of Lgov in Kursk Oblast, while Ukraine said that Russian forces carried out a massive missile attack targeting its energy facilities, according to reports released by both sides on Wednesday.

The acting governor of Russia's Kursk region stated on Wednesday that Ukrainian forces carried out an airstrike on the city of Lgov in the region, resulting in four deaths and five injuries, with multiple buildings and vehicles damaged.

Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian drone on the same day in Vladikavkaz, capital city of Russia's North Ossetia-Alania Republic. Debris from the drone caused an explosion and a fire at a shopping center, leaving one person dead.

On Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian forces launched more than 70 missiles, including ballistic missiles, and over 100 drones targeting energy infrastructure in Ukraine.

Ukrainian air defense systems intercepted over 50 missiles and most of the drones, but some facilities were still hit. The attacks caused power outages in multiple regions of Ukraine.
