China and Cambodia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance economic cooperation in the industrial and supply chains.
The two countries' commerce ministries signed the MoU in Cambodia on April 17, as President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the country during his three-nation Southeast Asia tour.
The agreement aims to fully leverage bilateral mechanisms and encourage businesses from both countries to collaborate in areas such as trade, investment, and technology.
The MoU also seeks to unleash the exemplary effect of economic and trade cooperation zones, like the Sihanoukville Special Economy Zone (SSEZ).
The collaboration is expected to create a more integrated, stable, and resilient industrial and supply chain network between China and Cambodia, to further deepen trade and investment ties between the two nations.
