Fans are flocking to the Capital Cinema in Beijing to experience the excitement of the Paris Olympics live on the big screen.

They enjoyed watching live events while cheering on their favorite athletes with fellow enthusiasts.

Some of the city's cinemas offer a live broadcast service, transforming their screening rooms into remote bleachers.

The Capital Cinema showed the women's table tennis bronze and gold finals live on Saturday night. Two Chinese players, Chen Meng and Sun Yingsha, competed for the gold medal.

As the final unfolded, the atmosphere inside the Capital Cinema was nothing short of intense. Fans were on the edge of their seats, their eyes glued to the screen. The collective cheers and applause created an ambiance that approached that of the stadium itself.

Some spectators said they came for the immersive experience of watching games on the big screen with other fans.

"I came with my friends to see the outstanding performance of our Olympians. The atmosphere here is incomparable to watching the games at home, and I'm looking forward to watching the finale, to witness the performance of the Chinese women Olympians," said Huang Yulu, a spectator.

"I expected an immersive experience from watching these games on the big cinema screen, and at this moment our two girls have secured this gold medal in the women's singles for China, so I particularly want to feel the atmosphere by watching the games live in the cinema," said Niu Niu, a spectator.
