The next steps involve strengthening the institutional foundation for the sector's high-quality development, fully leveraging the role of commercial insurance and other market mechanisms, and enhancing the insurance industry's capability to provide coverage and improve services, according to the meeting.
It is crucial to closely monitor key areas and weak points, protect consumers' legitimate rights and interests and improve the risk prevention system, the meeting stressed.
The meeting urged efforts to cultivate and expand patient capital such as insurance funds, remove institutional barriers and refine assessment and evaluation mechanisms, thereby providing stable long-term investment for capital market and technological innovation.
