The China Media Group (CMG)'s upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival is set to unfold at the picturesque Dingxiang Lake Park in northeast China's Shenyang, with organizers promising a breathtaking blend of tradition and advanced technology which is set to dazzle viewers.

The grand show will take place on Sept. 17 on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, with the host city of Shenyang promising a stunning backdrop for the CMG's annual televised celebration.

Technical teams from the CMG say they have incorporated groundbreaking artificial intelligence to elevate the overall program quality and deliver a visual feast to audiences.

"During the production process of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, China Media Group's Technology Bureau utilized AI technology to assist in the program's creation. This approach has showcased the deeper significance of the gala across multiple dimensions, including art, culture, and emotion. For example, we integrated AI technology with cultural relics to narrate stories in our programs," said Feng Yi, head of the CMG's AI-related design and production team.

The CMG will also employ advanced broadcasting technologies to ensure a thrilling viewing experience during the Gala, according to crew members.

"Our broadcast truck is equipped with full 4K capabilities and has also been fitted with 8K cameras. Ultimately, viewers will be able to experience the gala on large 8K screens," said Ye Liangxian, a technician from the CMG's transmission department.

First aired by China Central Television (CCTV) -- part of today's CMG -- in 1991, the gala has become an annual fixture on television screens across China and viewed by the Chinese diaspora around the world. This year's celebration will combine a vibrant display of cultural artistry with the latest technological innovations, creating a memorable experience for audiences worldwide.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the night when the moon reaches its fullest and brightest on the 15th day of the eighth month on the Chinese lunar calendar.

The third part of China Media Group (CMG)'s Mid-Autumn Festival gala aired on Tuesday night blends traditional Chinese culture with international artistry in a diverse lineup, bringing the audience an unforgettable night of music performance and poetry recitation.

The annual gala broadcast, also known as "Qiuwan" in Chinese, was recorded in Shenyang City of northeast China's Liaoning Province, a 2,300-year-old city boasting three world cultural heritage sites and over 1,500 historical and cultural sites. The city is also one of the most well-known industrial cities in China.

Themed "Moon Bright", the third part of the grand gala features an array of classic songs, reunion-themed narratives, and touching performances. Highlights include a music adaptation of the famous Chinese poem Qing Ping Diao by Tang Dynasty Poet Li Bai (701-762), which captures the essence of ancient Chinese beauty and expression; and a middle-school chorus from the Macao Special Administrative Region, singing about their love for the country and hopes for a brighter future.

The third segment of the show also features celebrated French musician Richard Clayderman, who enchants the audience with his timeless A Comme Amour a breathtaking rendition of The Butterfly Lovers concerto.
