"Celebration of National Day - The Next Generation Chorus Performance" drone show cancelled
Before the start of "Celebration of National Day - The Next Generation Chorus Performance" yesterday (September 30) evening, the implementing organisation expressed that the signal of the drones were seriously interfered, making the drones unable to position accurately. After investigation, it is believed to be related to meteorological factor; human factor was not involved. All related parties immediately tried their best to recover the situation, in the hope that the drone show could continue. The master of ceremony introduced the programmes and announced the updated situation at 8.38pm, 8.46pm and 9.06pm. As the signal showed no improvement, the drone show had to be cancelled. Contingency plan was adopted and pre-recorded footage was broadcast on television.
We sincerely apologise for keeping all guests, performing students and groups, and audience both on site and in front of their televisions waiting during the repair attempts. The students displayed professionalism and made great efforts to perform, allowing the audience to feel the vibrant energy and patriotism of the youth.
Hospital Authority holds flag-raising ceremony to celebrate 75th anniversary of founding of People's Republic of China

The Hospital Authority (HA) held a flag-raising ceremony in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China today (October 1).
The ceremony was held at the Hospital Authority Building at 10.30am. The national flag was hoisted along with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) flag to a rendition of the national anthem. Participants expressed their wishes for the prosperity, stability and peace of the motherland.
About 170 guests attended the ceremony, including the Director-General, the Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, Mr Zhu Wen; the Permanent Secretary for Health, Mr Thomas Chan; the Director of Health, Dr Ronald Lam; the Chairman of the HA, Mr Henry Fan; the Chief Executive of the HA, Dr Tony Ko; members of the HA Board and Hospital Governing Committees, as well as senior executives of HA Head Office, clusters and hospitals.
Mr Fan said, "This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. We are profoundly proud of the remarkable development and world-renowned achievements of the motherland throughout the years. With the unique strengths under 'one country, two systems', Hong Kong has maintained its prosperity, stability and development. As the major public healthcare service provider in Hong Kong, the HA will continue to fully support the HKSAR Government's administration and is committed to safeguarding the health of the community. The HA will also continue to enhance co-operation and exchanges with relevant professional institutions in different cities on the Mainland to deepen collaboration in the healthcare and medical field, and to jointly promote the development of medical services."
