Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises to 41,825

The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip had risen to 41,825, Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Saturday.

The statement said another 96,900 people were injured by Israeli attacks since the current round of the conflict broke out on October 7, 2023.

Over the past 24 hours, 23 people were killed and 66 others wounded in the Israel’s military operations in Gaza, according to the statement.

The Israeli military on Saturday continued to launch attacks on multiple locations in Gaza, causing heavy casualties.

According to Palestinian media reports, Israeli military warplanes launched attacks on Gaza City and Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, the Nuseirat and Al-Bureij refugee camps in central Gaza, and Rafah in southern Gaza, killing at least 15 people, including two children.

Later on Saturday, the Israeli military bombed several houses in Jabalia, resulting in at least 10 fatalities and multiple injuries.

According to a statement by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), its air forces carried out a "precision" strike on the building that had previously been used by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jabalia, where Hamas militants were hiding when the attacks were launched.

Hamas has not yet responded to the attacks so far.

The IDF issued a statement on Saturday afternoon, saying that the Israeli army detected about 60 rockets fired from Lebanon to northern Israel, most of which were intercepted by the Israeli air defense system, and the rest fell in northern Israel.

Hezbollah also stated that Hezbollah militants exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers in the southern border area of ​​Lebanon and blocked Israel's attempt to advance towards the Lebanese border town of Adaysseh.
