China hopes Lithuania will return to the right track of adhering to the one-China principle, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning at a press briefing in Beijing on Monday.
"As it is known to all, Lithuania's wrong acts on the Taiwan question are the root cause for China-Lithuania relations to encounter some difficulties. China's door to dialog is always open, and we hope that Lithuania will return to the right track of adhering to the one-China principle, honor its political commitments made in the communique on the establishment of diplomatic relationship between the two countries, and create favorable conditions for the normalization of the bilateral ties," said Mao.

China congratulates Yamandu Orsi on his election as the new president of Uruguay, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a press briefing in Beijing on Monday.
Orsi will succeed the sitting president Luis Lacalle Pou in the 2025-2030 period after winning the second round of the presidential elections. Lacalle Pou recognized the opposition candidate as president-elect on Sunday.
"We express congratulations for this smooth and successful presidential election in Uruguay and congratulate Mr. Yamandu Orsi on his election as the new president.
