Russia claimed on Monday that its forces launched strikes targeting the infrastructure of Ukrainian military airfields, while Ukraine reported on the same day that its forces were engaged in ongoing battles in frontline areas and repelled multiple enemy attacks over the past 24 hours.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated in a Monday briefing that Russian forces targeted Ukrainian military sites including the infrastructure of military airfields, railway facilities used for transporting military equipment, and drone assembly sites.

The Russian air defense units shot down several Ukrainian rockets and dozens of drones. Besides, strikes on invading Ukrainian personnel and equipment in the Kursk Oblast of western Russia are still going on, according to the ministry.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported over a hundred clashes with Russian forces as of Monday afternoon, in the directions of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, and Pokrovsk, and Kurakhove in eastern Ukraine.

The Ukrainian army maintained its positions and repelled multiple Russian attacks, it said.

Noting that next year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges, Han said the two sides should follow the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, maintain strategic communication, expand practical cooperation, consolidate the foundation of public opinion, strengthen multilateral coordination and promote the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, bringing more benefits to the two peoples.

Bui Thanh Son said that developing long-term friendly relations with China is the consistent proposition, objective requirement, strategic choice and top priority of Vietnam's diplomacy.

Vietnam firmly adheres to the one-China policy and is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges, consolidate political mutual trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation with China, and jointly promote the building of a Vietnam-China community with a shared future with strategic significance, he added.
