Global partnership, solidarity and cooperation, and mutual benefit for win-win outcomes should be made defining features of the times, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday.
Xi made the statement in a meeting in Beijing with the heads of major international economic organizations who are in the Chinese capital city for the "1+10" Dialogue hosted by Premier Li Qiang a day earlier.
Humanity is a community with a shared future where all people rise and fall together, Xi said at the meeting.
"I'm glad to meet you here in Beijing at the end of the year. I have stressed on many occasions that humanity is a community with a shared future where all people rise and fall together, and we should see each other's development as an opportunity rather than a challenge, and take each other as partners rather than adversaries. Let's work together to make global partnership, solidarity and cooperation, and mutual benefit for win-win outcomes the defining features of the times," he said.
The heads of the 10 international economic organizations attending the "1+10" Dialogue include President of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff, President of the World Bank Group Ajay Banga, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva, Director-General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Secretary-General of UN Conference on Trade and Development Rebeca Grynspan, Director-General of the International Labor Organization Gilbert Houngbo, Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Mathias Cormann, General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements Agustin Carstens, Chair of the Financial Stability Board Klaas Knot, and President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Jin Liqun.
