Chinese senior official Li Xi stressed continuous people-centered efforts to combat corruption so as to strengthen the people's sense of gain, happiness, and security, during his visit to east China's Jiangxi Province from Monday to Thursday.
Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, called for a standardized, legalized and regularized approach to strengthening discipline inspection and supervision to advance Chinese modernization.
During his visit of Shenshan Village in Jinggangshan City and Wangkou and Huangling villages in Shangrao City, he talked with local officials and villagers to collect suggestions on improving conduct, tightening discipline, and fighting corruption.
He visited an automobile plant, a medicine production base and a high-tech industrial park in Nanchang City, calling on Party organizations in state-owned enterprises to pursue high-quality development with high-quality Party building.
While presiding over a symposium, Li said thoughts and actions should be aligned with the deployment of full and rigorous Party self-governance so as to make greater achievements in this regard.
Li urged concrete efforts to launch the year-long campaign to standardize, legalize and regularize discipline inspection and supervision work to enhance officials' ability in performing political duties, understanding policies, laws and regulations, and foster a contingent of disciplinary inspection and supervision personnel with loyalty, integrity and courage to fight and ability to win.
Li also visited the Jinggangshan Bajiao Lou (Octagon Building) revolutionary sites and the Jinggangshan revolutionary martyrs cemetery, presenting flower baskets to the revolutionary martyrs and calling for drawing strength from the revolutionary spirit to carry forward the glorious tradition and fine work style of the Party on the new journey.
