U.S. media staff were seen conducting reporting and filming work aboard Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) vessel 4411 on Monday while the vessel was illegally intruding into the adjacent waters of the Xianbin Jiao (Xianbin Reef) of the Nansha Qundao (Nansha Islands) without the permission of the Chinese government, according to a footage released by Yuyuantantian, a social media account affiliated with the China Media Group, on Tuesday.

The American ABC News confirmed in a news report on Monday that there were U.S. media staff on board the vessel and they had taken videos. "Video and photographs, including the ones taken by journalists from a U.S. TV network who were on board one of the Philippine coast guard ships..." ABC News wrote in its report.

On Monday, in disregard of the Chinese side's repeated dissuasions and warnings, PCG vessels 4410 and 4411 illegally entered the waters near the Xianbin Jiao. PCG vessel 4410 deliberately collided with a China Coast Guard (CCG) ship that was carrying out a normal law enforcement operation, and then intruded into the waters off China's Ren'ai Jiao, CCG spokesman Gan Yu said on the day.

China has indisputable sovereignty over the Nansha Qundao, including the Xianbin Jiao, and the adjacent waters. The CCG will continue to carry out rights protection and law enforcement activities in waters under China's jurisdiction, and resolutely safeguard national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights, the spokesman said.
