The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) has attracted top global food suppliers, offering Chinese consumers a rich sensory experience and providing brands with a gateway into the growing Chinese market.

As a key platform for global trade cooperation, the CIIE continues to captivate businesses worldwide, with 186 companies and organizations proudly marking a perfect attendance record over its seven-year history.

Among these is Australia's Aulong Auniu Wang PTY Ltd., an Australian beef supplier that has brought a refreshed lineup of grass-fed beef and steaks. Since the first edition of the expo, the company has reported an annual sales growth of over 35 percent in the Chinese market.

This year, the company is showcasing its tomahawk and T-bone steaks, known for their distinctive textures and flavors. A chef at their booth conducts live cooking demonstrations, inviting visitors to enjoy a taste of these premium cuts.

"Now, I'm searing a sirloin steak. Its compact texture delivers a satisfying, rich mouthfeel," the chef explained.

In addition to beef products, this year's expo also showcases a diverse selection of fresh fruits, including the debut of Malaysian Musang King durians. These fresh durians boast a more vibrant color and deliver a richer flavor than their liquid nitrogen-treated counterparts.

"This expo is a valuable opportunity to boost the presence of fresh Malaysian durians in China. For example, a client from Xinjiang contacted me yesterday through the expo to arrange for fresh durians from the December harvest. I anticipate many similar inquiries in the coming days," said Zhou Tianhua, product manager at the Southeast Asia procurement department of Joy Wing Mau, a leading Chinese fruit company.

Held annually at Shanghai's National Exhibition and Convention Center, the CIIE is the world's first national-level, import-themed expo.

Since its first edition in 2018, the expo has become an important stage for spotlighting China's new development paradigm, a platform for high-level opening-up, and a global public good.

This year's edition, themed "New Era, Shared Future," takes place from November 5 to 10 and includes participation from 152 countries, regions, and international organizations.

Among these, 77 countries and international organizations are featured in national exhibitions, while nearly 3,500 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions are showcased in business exhibitions.
