Russia announced on Sunday that its forces had stricken multiple military targets of the Ukrainian army, while Ukraine claimed it continued to hold its ground and successfully repelled Russian offensives in several directions over the past 24 hours.
In a battle report, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that Russian forces had taken control of a settlement and stricken multiple Ukrainian military targets on Sunday, including electronic warfare stations, ammunition depots and a drone factory.
Meanwhile, the Russian air defense system intercepted Ukrainian rockets, aerial bombs and drones, and hit other targets, according to the report.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian forces had engaged in over 100 clashes with Russian troops on multiple frontlines as of Sunday afternoon, with the situation in Kurakhove and Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine remaining tense.
The report further stated that Ukrainian forces had held their ground and repelled multiple Russian offensives.
Also on Sunday, both Russia and Ukraine reported large-scale drone attacks from each other.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, some civilian facilities in several locations across Russia, including Moscow, were targeted by dozens of Ukrainian drones. As a result, air traffic control measures were implemented at three airports in Moscow.
The ministry also claimed that the Russian air defense system had shot down and interfered with the drones.
On the same day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted on social media that the Russian military launched over 100 drones into Ukraine from Saturday night to Sunday morning, with some of them intercepted by the Ukrainian forces.
The drone attacks caused financial losses in several regions, though no casualties have been reported, according to Ukrainian sources.
