The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the beginning of the latest round of Israeli-Hezbollah conflict has reached 3,365, with injuries rising to 14,344, said the Lebanese Health Ministry on Wednesday.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Wednesday that it has further expanded ground operation in southern Lebanon, as it continued to carry out airstrikes in Lebanese capital Beirut, the Times of Israel reported on the same day.
Israeli fighter jets continued to strike Hezbollah targets in the southern suburbs of Beirut, meanwhile the IDF claimed destroying dozens of rocket launchers in Lebanon.
The IDF also said on Wednesday that several Hezbollah field commanders were killed in recent airstrikes in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah said on Wednesday that it struck Israeli targets in northern Israel by drone and rocket attacks.
Israeli new Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the IDF will continue their offensive until all of Israel's goals are achieved, according to a Times of Israel report released on Wednesday.
Katz made the remarks during a visit to IDF Northern Command on Wednesday. He listed the aims as disarming Hezbollah, pushing it beyond the Litani River, and allowing for the residents of northern Israel to return to their homes.

Russia announced on Wednesday that it seized one more settlement in the Donetsk region, while Ukraine reported 97 battles its forces engaged in against Russian forces over the past day.
According to a Wednesday report from the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces controlled a settlement in Rivnopil of Donetsk region. Over the past day, attacks were launched on Ukraine forces and caused deaths and injuries. Ukrainian military facilities including tanks, armored vehicles, howitzers, and ammunition depots were destroyed, according to the report, which also said Russian forces had also launched attacks on military airport and energy facilities that are essential for the functioning of Ukraine's military industry.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released a battle report, claiming its forces engaged in 97 battles on the front lines against Russian forces, who were most active in the directions of Pokrovsk and Kurakhove. In the Pokrovsk direction, Russia launched 24 attacks and in the Kurakhove direction, the fighting was more severe, with 48 attacks being launched, said the report.
