China celebrates arrival of spring with vibrant scenes of nature in full bloom

As the Qingming Festival approaches, China celebrates the arrival of spring with vibrant scenes of nature in full bloom. From Beijing's lakesides to the golden seas of rapeseed flowers in Hubei, spring is alive with color, culture, and tradition.

In Beijing, Yuyuantan Park serves as a perfect spring haven.

The park's willow trees, now sporting fresh green buds, gently sway in the breeze above the shimmering lake, creating a peaceful and lively spring atmosphere.

As is customary during the Qingming Festival, kite flying holds special significance, symbolizing the act of sending wishes and prayers for health and well-being. To honor this tradition, the park has set up a special area for kite painting, where both adults and children gather to create colorful designs on blank kites, making unique springtime memories.

In addition to this, visitors are treated to a series of shadow plays by the professional team from the Shadow Puppetry Art Theatre, including the show "The Origins of Qingming Festival."

These performances offer a delightful way to learn about Chinese traditional festival culture while enjoying the beauty of spring and experiencing the charm of intangible cultural heritage.

Further south, in Jingmen city, central China's Hubei Province, the landscape is ablaze with the golden hue of blooming canola flowers.

A breathtaking aerial view reveals a sea of yellow flowers interwoven with the lush green of wheat fields, creating a picturesque ecological scene.

This period is crucial for preventing pests and diseases that can affect the canola and wheat crops. To protect these vital crops, local agricultural authorities have employed drone technology and smart farming equipment for aerial pest control, significantly improving efficiency compared to traditional manual methods.

Meanwhile, in Wuyishan City, east China's Fujian Province, the Paulownia trees, the flower of the Qingming season, are in full bloom.

These trees, with their trumpet-shaped blossoms, present a graceful sight with their white and purple hues against the backdrop of lush tea gardens. The flowers, delicate and abundant, dangle from the branches like clusters of crystal-clear bells, gently swaying in the breeze.
