據秘魯法醫和司法鑒定研究所的考古學家弗拉維奧·埃斯特拉達的說法，去年10月在機場出現的兩具所謂「外星人」遺體實際上只是人工合成的人偶，並不具有任何與外星生命相關的特徵。這些人偶是由紙、膠、金屬、動物和人類骨頭製成，與外星生命無關。
