IG行政總裁莫塞里透過限時動態回答網友問題,一名網民問及影片上傳後,畫質看來比原影片模糊,莫塞里證實,IG影片會根據觀看次數調整畫質,若影片長時間沒有人觀看,就會自動降低畫質,反之若影片受歡迎,則會有較好的高畫質讓更多人看到影片。

高品質影片需更多儲存空間及CPU資源存放
莫塞里還透露,影片剛上架後,IG會先將影片調整為較低畫質去展示。事實上,Meta在2021年就曾表示會做出類似的調整,藉此將數量龐大的平台影片作出資源分配,莫塞里表示,IG傾向為更多觀看次數的創作者提供更高品質的影片,因為這也意味著需要更多儲存空間以及中央處理器(CPU)資源,來存放這些影片,但他強調,這是一個隨時會滾動判定的尺度。
