報道說，當地上午9時許，這座興建中橋樑橋墩上方的橋板發生倒塌，警方和消防部門接報後，趕往現場救援。

代總統崔相穆已向行政安全部、國土交通部、消防廳、警察廳等部門下達緊急指示，動員所有可用人力及設備，優先搶救人員，盡全力搜索失蹤者。
