男子自家後院燒情趣用品釀火災
綜合外媒報導，美國紐約史泰登島（Staten Island）一名37歲男子托雷斯（Harry Torres）於4月16日下午約1時在自家後院燃燒2個情趣用品，其中一個為橡膠陰道，未料意外釀成3級大火，火勢迅速蔓延波及住所及鄰近2棟房屋，還殃及2輛停泊車輛。

消防出動水線與高空水塔撲火 事故未造成人員傷亡
紐約市消防局副助理局長西姆斯（David Simms）指出，「其中1個性玩具是橡膠陰道，但不清楚另一個玩具是什麼。」這場火災屬於「沉重且深層次的火勢」，當天動用了6條水線以及1座高空水塔才撲滅，直到當日下午4時許才完全控制火勢，所幸起火時沒有人待在屋內，事故未造成人員傷亡。

男子親口承認縱火 具體動機未明
托雷斯事後接受警方訊問時坦承，「我在後院點燃2個性玩具，我就是放火的人」，不過警方目前仍未掌握托雷斯縱火的具體動機。

被控多項罪名 男子獲准保釋
根據警方及法院紀錄，托雷斯因涉嫌縱火被控2級魯莽危害他人安全、4級刑事毀壞等罪名。4月17日，他穿著被捕當日所穿的藍色浴袍與拖鞋出庭應訊，並否認所有指控，最終法院裁定以非金錢條件（non-monetary conditions）獲准釋放。
